Music
These tracks are part of a personal project I completed last year in which I composed three short pieces of music to try to capture the mood of three very different images. Details on the project and how I approached it can be found through the link below.
These recent releases showcase the narritive theme that runs throughout Monogatari's work. These two in particular are part of a tale that evokes a sense of regret and despair.

Kokai is written about a man's pilgrimage to an ancient Japanese temple in an attempt to abolish himself of his past sins. In his desperate state he thinks that donating large amounts of money to the temple will be enough to shed off the burdens of his past life. During his stay however he discovers that he can only seek forgiveness if he himself comes to regret his past sins.

Interlude is a short piece set before kokai where our protagonists life reaches tipping point and he comes to the realisation that he must clear his mind of his past if he is to live a fulfilling life.
