"Monogatari (物語) is a literary form in traditional Japanese literature, an extended prose narrative tale comparable to the epic."

Taking inspiration from fictitious worlds created in various anime, videogames and films, Monogatari weaves his own stories through the medium of music. Whether it be a tale of mystery and wonder or that of lingering despair. Monogatari's use of haunting melodies and intricate electronic beats will plunge the listener into a world of fantasy.

Drawing from an extensive pallette of both organic and electronic instruments Monogatari utilises a wide range of sounds which are often neglected within modern dance music. From film score-esque string sections and modest, yet haunting music boxes to searing synth leads and crushing metal guitars, nothing is out of the question.

The Alias Monogatari was established in 2015 when its founder Elias Browning transitioned from the progressive metal scene with the idea of creating something with a wider narrative. Since then the project has released an EP, a variety of singles as well as some more exploratory projects.
